My name is John Moyle.  "Overland Sailor" is an online moniker I've used for years.   I am a Citizen Journalist with an active project covering Overland, MIssouri (a suburb of St. Louis) that had been running since July 2006 called The Overland Examiner.  I have also engaged a web design firm and have a new more "newspaper-like" site under development that I hope to launch in the next month or so.
I ran off of my savings and gave a year of my life to my project.  However, I couldn't do that forever and ultimately had to return to work a few month ago.   The biggest obsticle I now face is a lack of time to do everything I what to do, when it needs to be done.  Time management has never been a strong suit of mine, but I need to learn it if I am ever going to find a balance between work, family, citizen journalism and community activism.
I'd like to thank your for starting this site.   I have considered starting a forum for people like us and I am very thankful that you beat me to it as that means I don't have to do the work.  :-)
I am looking forward to participating here and watching this place grow.
